Self promulgating behaviors and organizational complacency

When we function more in a static way, we tend to work more to preserve the way things are above the need to adapt to changing conditions. Sadly, many organizations thrive on hurting people and our environment. It is not all their fault, but it seems we have created a situation where various organizations are stagnant and operating in a way that satisfies their self-interest only, whatever their roles are in our society. I would instead not identify those organizations and prefer to have them think about it and have a chance to adapt and transition to more sustainable striving functioning instead of self-preservation and complacency. It is rather strange to me that we have functions in our world that are seen as being those we respect the most in our society when their functioning contributes an immense amount of detrimental impacts. In fact, I believe the lack of the ability to imagine how things “could be world” keeps them functioning in the same manner. However, people are getting hurt, and our environment is being compromised for their self-serving behaviors.

Consequently, detrimental impacts from these behaviors have created a condition in our society like an out-of-control train heading for doomsday. It is time for us to realize that our self-promulgating behaviors and organizational complacency contribute to the opposite of the dynamic transitional sustainable striving behaviors we need today. As an illustrative example, if we have organizations that function out of control, self-preserving, self-interested, complacent, out of context, and pseudo-violent, Likewise if we give all the authoritative power to these types of organizations, they will get stronger and stronger in an ever-increasing way thus magnifying the detrimental impacts to society, individuals, and our environment over time. These organizations tend to take on a more reactionary perspective and, when enlightened by holistic perspectives, tend to retreat towards denial. Individuals love their jobs so much that they will do anything to keep them. Those given more authoritative power use it to keep themselves going rather than adapting and doing what is best and suitable for individuals, society, and the environment. It is sad because many of these people have tremendous brain power. It is just that they are using their brains in ways that hinder our functioning instead of helping. Wouldn’t it be great if they began recognizing what they are doing and transition themselves to ecological niche roles and organizations? We must help them understand and help them transition. Organizations are what they are. Self-analysis, self-assessment, learning, and growing are needed more than ever. I hope they start understanding sooner rather than later for obvious reasons. Hypothesis: I wonder if organizations that are so threatened by how things could be are acting out in such a way because their organization may be obsolete, and they are doing everything possible to keep it alive. If this is occurring, it must stop.
