Founding contributor and creator of Natural Earth Striving an Earth Ethic and Earth Research Explorers, a vision that accepts and includes everyone on Earth as stakeholders, stewards, explorers, researchers, creators, pattern recognizers, ground truthers, innovators, hypothesis generators, etc. Suppose you look at these two entities and consider them as a cycle. In that case, it gets everyone contributing towards a more continuous adaptive striving for desired future conditions on planet Earth from a broad scale to a fine scale. This leads us to a more holistic positive energy reality for the health of everyone, everything, everywhere on Earth. The vision includes a loving, caring, sharing, giving, forgiving, genuine kindness striving to bring about conditions of comfort, joy, love, hope, faith, and sustainable striving happiness foundation for everyone on Earth, transitioning most laws, rules, regulations, policies, to holistic prescriptive advice.

Loneliness and isolation to holistic inclusion and holistic acceptance

It is increasingly apparent that a significant portion of the loneliness and isolation prevalent in our modern world stems from a fundamental disconnect. We often see thriving, interconnected groups while many individuals feel profoundly adrift and alone, creating a societal imbalance that impacts us all.

I’ve been contemplating a perhaps radical, yet deeply hopeful, vision for how we might address this. Imagine a paradigm where each of us collectively embodies a role akin to ‘holistic police officers without guns.’ This isn’t about external enforcement or punitive measures, but rather an internal, proactive commitment to ethical conduct and self-governance. It’s about cultivating a heightened sense of personal responsibility and empathy within us.  With our similarities and differences, it is possible. It would be great not to label everyone a police officer, but it may be the only way to get respect for everyone. Imagine everyone taking true holistic responsibility for societal inclusion.

The profound implication of such a shift is that if every individual were genuinely dedicated to seeking reconciliation for their own missteps and unintended harms, the very foundation for conflict and ‘crime’ as we know it would fundamentally change. Instead of waiting for external bodies to enforce justice, we would collectively foster an environment where accountability is embraced, wrongs are acknowledged, and harmony is actively pursued through restorative dialogue and understanding.

Ultimately, I firmly believe that this profound internal transformation would guide us towards a far more balanced and fulfilling existence. We would naturally cultivate stronger, more compassionate communities, forge deeper and more authentic relationships, rediscover our intrinsic connection with nature and build vibrant, interconnected regions where collective well-being is paramount. This vision speaks to a future where individual responsibility fuels a globally harmonious and interconnected society.  I believe in having parties, events, educational opportunities, exploration, and a tremendous amount of nature immersion and social activities to keep us included and connected

Each of us and all of us need similarities and differences

Many of the mass shootings are caused by our differences. We need similarities and differences to stop this type of behavior. If everyone thought of themselves as having similarities with every other human being on this planet and unique differences at the same time, it would be beneficial for overall planetary  health.  I have thought of a similarity foundation for everybody on earth.  It includes loving, caring, sharing, giving, forgiving, and genuine kindness striving.  This brings around conditions for everyone of comfort , Joy, love, hope, unity and equity as well as sustainable, striving happiness.  This overall concept ends all mass shootings on our planet, including all terrorism and quite possibly all crime on planet Earth.  Unique diversity is equally as important as similarities. It is how we learn on our planet.

The pervasive conflicts and acts of violence that plague our world often stem from a deep-seated focus on perceived differences, rather than an embrace of our shared humanity. To truly overcome these destructive patterns, we must cultivate a profound understanding of both our universal commonalities and our individual distinctions.

Imagine a world where every individual recognizes their fundamental interconnectedness with all others, while simultaneously celebrating the unique perspectives and contributions they bring. This transformative mindset would profoundly benefit global well-being and societal harmony.

I propose a foundational framework for human interaction, built upon universal values that resonate across all cultures. These include empathy, compassion, generosity, mutual understanding, a readiness to forgive, and an unwavering commitment to genuine kindness in all our dealings.

Embracing these principles could cultivate an environment of profound comfort, authentic joy, enduring love, unwavering hope, true unity, and equitable opportunities, ultimately leading to sustainable happiness for all. While ambitious, such a comprehensive shift in perspective holds the potential to significantly diminish, if not eradicate, the root causes of mass violence, terrorism, and widespread crime on our planet. It represents a pathway toward a truly peaceful and just global society.

Crucially, this shared foundation does not diminish the importance of unique diversity. On the contrary, diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultures are vital for collective learning, innovation, and the enrichment of human understanding across our planet. Our differences, when viewed through a lens of shared values, become sources of strength and collective wisdom. Similarities and difference lead to inclusion and acceptance of everyone on Earth which is another vital component of solving big picture problems.

Sustainability analysis and relative prioritization

Eco Geo relativity and spatial analysis enable sustainability analysis.   Scientists can use this to calculate sustainability of just about anything.  We can figure out how much land we will need to feed global populations in 100 years or more.   Habitat for various species can be figured out through habitat analysis whether it is forests, prairie, wetland, or whatever.  We can also prioritize habitat, and other metrics based on relative prioritization which weighs and balances alternatives.   Various types of development can be weighed up against potential habitat losses, and loss of farmland as well as forests.  We can also prioritize every square meter on planet Earth based on its potential and desired uses.   We can figure out how many cows and farmland we’re going to need for global milk production in 100 years or so.

Our understanding of environmental dynamics, empowered by sophisticated Eco Geo relativity principles and advanced spatial analytics, forms the bedrock of comprehensive sustainability analysis. This integrated approach allows us to conduct nuanced assessments across a vast spectrum of ecological and anthropogenic systems, offering unparalleled insights into our planet’s future.

Consider, for instance, our capacity to project future global food security needs. By modeling demographic shifts, dietary trends, and climate impacts, we can estimate the agricultural land required to sustain growing populations a century from now, allowing for proactive policy formulation.

Furthermore, the precise quantification and mapping of critical habitats—whether vast forests, expansive prairies, vital wetlands, or crucial migratory corridors—becomes achievable. This habitat analysis extends beyond mere identification, enabling us to model connectivity, biodiversity hotspots, and ecosystem service provision for various species.

Crucially, these analytical frameworks facilitate multi-criteria prioritization. We can rigorously weigh and balance diverse ecological, economic, and social factors to identify optimal land use strategies. This allows us to evaluate the environmental impacts of proposed developments, assessing trade-offs between economic growth, biodiversity preservation, and the safeguarding of agricultural land and carbon-sequestering forests. The ultimate ambition is to inform strategic planning at a planetary scale, optimizing the allocation and management of every square meter of Earth’s surface based on its inherent potential and our collective desired outcomes.

Even highly specific resource predictions, such as the land and livestock requirements for global dairy production a century hence, become quantifiable, guiding sustainable agricultural practices and resource management decisions.

Mass shootings, terrorism, violence, and human trafficking are all related ?

The enduring pain and profound questions surrounding horrific acts of violence and exploitation continue to weigh heavily on my mind. I often find myself grappling with the sheer enormity of tragedies that seem to defy simple explanation, leading me to ponder if there are underlying patterns or a deeper connectivity at play.

The memories of the innocent lives lost at Sandy Hook and in Uvalde, Texas, remain a source of deep sorrow and frustration. One cannot help but search for meaning or a common denominator in such senseless acts. It’s particularly unsettling to reflect on the chilling efficiency and calculated nature observed in some mass casualty events, which can leave one questioning the underlying forces at work. This disquieting thought extends to other audacious acts that hint at a sophisticated level of planning or coordination.

This line of thought inevitably leads to other deeply troubling revelations, such as the complexities surrounding the Epstein case. While seemingly distinct, cases involving systemic abuse, exploitation, and trafficking often expose networks of complicity and power that raise fundamental questions about societal vulnerabilities and hidden hierarchies. It prompts a broader reflection on how terrorism, organized crime, and sophisticated forms of trafficking might intersect, not necessarily in direct conspiracy, but through shared methodologies of exploitation, radicalization, or the manipulation of human frailty.

My contemplation is less about forming definitive conclusions and more about acknowledging a persistent unease, a sense that we may need to look beyond superficial explanations to truly comprehend the insidious nature of certain evils that plague our world. It’s a challenging and often uncomfortable line of inquiry, but one that feels increasingly necessary as we strive to understand and prevent such profound suffering.

Our natural connectivity

I’ve been reflecting deeply on the intricate relationships that bind us all, particularly focusing on the dynamic interplay between culture, nature, the communities it shapes, the unique characteristics of different regions, the enduring legacy of traditions, and most importantly, the incredible people who bring these elements to life. These are not just individual concepts but rather foundational pillars that define our collective human experience and identity. Understanding how each region’s distinct cultural practices contribute to its societal structure, how communities preserve and evolve their traditions, and how individuals embody and transmit this rich heritage, offers profound insights into our shared past and potential future. My aim is to foster a deeper appreciation for this magnificent tapestry, encouraging exploration and engagement with the diverse expressions of humanity across the globe. By recognizing the value embedded within these spheres, we can build stronger bridges of understanding and collaboration.

Cumulative totality impact assessment

I am writing to articulate a crucial concept in our approach to comprehensive environmental and socio-economic evaluation.

The framework for a Cumulative Totality Impact Assessment (CTIA) is fundamentally rooted in the sophisticated integration of two core principles: Eco-Geo Relativity and advanced Spatial Analysis. This approach represents a significant evolution from traditional, often compartmentalized impact studies. Eco-Geo Relativity acknowledges the intricate, dynamic interplay and interdependent nature of ecological systems and geographical features. It emphasizes understanding how environmental processes and their relative significance are constantly shaped by their spatial context, recognizing that changes in one geo-environmental factor can cascade through and alter the influence of others across a given landscape or region.

To effectively map, measure, and predict these complex interdependencies, robust Spatial Analysis is indispensable. It provides the essential tools to visualize intricate patterns, quantify relationships between disparate elements, model potential cumulative scenarios, and ultimately, gain actionable insights into how various impacts aggregate and interact over both time and space.

By weaving together the deep understanding offered by Eco-Geo Relativity with the powerful analytical capabilities of spatial methodologies, CTIA enables us to move beyond fragmented assessments. It facilitates a more nuanced and comprehensive evaluation that accounts for synergistic effects, long-term consequences, and the full spectrum of interconnected environmental and socio-economic influences. This integrated perspective is vital for crafting truly sustainable strategies and making highly informed decisions that reflect the entire, interconnected reality of any project or policy’s footprint.

Earth Research Explorers and Earth Bureau of Investigation (EBI)

Earth research explorers can explore anything. It could involve research on crime using individual people’s data points. In fact, I have mentioned previously that everyone on earth could be a police officer.  Imagine everyone being part of the Earth Bureau of Investigation, where everyone contributes to solving problems on Earth.  Again, inclusion would be the benefit here. People involved in something like this would provide tremendous benefit to everyone on Earth.  I believe it would be the end of the concept of criminals, terrorists, and mafia of all types.   I mentioned previously that it would also be the end of the war on Earth.   Being part of Earth Research Explorers and the Earth Bureau of Investigation does not require having a gun. In fact, it’s a bad idea to give everybody a weapon on earth.

Earth Research Explorers and the Earth Bureau of Investigation

Dear colleagues,

I’ve been reflecting on the immense untapped potential within our global community – a collective intelligence waiting to be fully activated. Imagine a world where every individual isn’t just a passive observer but an active contributor to the well-being and security of our planet. This vision animates the concept of “Earth Research Explorers,” redefined not merely as academics, but as every Earth’s community member engaged in understanding and improving our shared existence.

This proactive engagement of everyone could be the bedrock of a revolutionary framework: the unifying, inclusive Earth Bureau of Investigation (EBI, or global police inclusion). Far from a conventional law enforcement agency, I envision the EBI as a decentralized, inclusive global network or function of the Earth Unidiversity Research Explorers Cycle. It would be a collaborative ecosystem that harnesses diverse skills, perspectives, and local insights to solve humanity’s most pressing challenges, from complex societal issues to the roots of conflict and criminal activity.  I envision this concept as a holistic inclusion of everyone on earth, not a punitive punishment as we would see in traditional justice systems, but an act of redemption and possible holistic healing, and, worst-case scenario, holistic hospitalization.

The profound benefit here is radical, holistic, inspirational inclusion.  Every person, regardless of background or traditional expertise, holds unique data points and perspectives that are crucial for understanding and addressing problems. By empowering each individual to contribute – whether through observation, data analysis, community engagement, or specialized knowledge – we transcend traditional, often siloed, approaches to problem-solving. This isn’t about deputizing everyone with a badge and a gun; on the contrary, distributing arms to the populace would be counterproductive and dangerous. Instead, people adhere to the foundation of the Earth Unidiversity Research Explorers cycle and the similarity pyramid foundation. In other words, we should all strive to be loving, caring, sharing, giving, forgiving, and genuinely kind, aiming to create conditions of comfort, joy, love, hope, faith, unity, equity, and sustainable striving for happiness. Therefore, while maintaining the holistic similarity, we respect each person’s unique diversity.

Our focus would be on cultivating collective harmonious humanity, holistic intelligence, and empathy. By fostering an environment where every citizen is a stakeholder in global, holistic, unified security, contributing to the identification and prevention of issues rather than merely reacting to them, we could fundamentally dismantle the structures that perpetuate crime, terror, and conflict. The aspiration is to move beyond simply apprehending “bad actors” to creating conditions in which such elements struggle to take root, ultimately ushering in an era in which the need for all types of war becomes obsolete.

This vision allows people from every background to get reconciliation forgiveness and go through confessions on planet Earth if they need to.   In fact, because everybody’s a sinner, everyone would probably need to go to confession. Maybe it would be another Earth Research Explorers or a function of the church.

This paradigm shift, rooted in shared responsibility and intelligence, represents the true path towards a more secure, harmonious, and genuinely holistic investigative and research exploration approach to our world.  In fact, it merely represents the holistic pursuit of knowledge in solving problems on planet earth.  It would also get us closer to the natural earth striving vision as we transition beyond all kinds of anthropogenic pollution.

Sincerely,

Richard Thomas Simmons

Airbnb (cont.)

We often view Airbnb etc purely as a transactional service, a convenient platform for temporary lodging. However, I believe its true potential stretches far beyond simple accommodation, offering a profound opportunity for global connection, personal enrichment, and even professional advancement.

At its core, Airbnb etc facilitates the organic creation of vibrant, interconnected communities. It transforms transient stays into meaningful exchanges, allowing individuals to not just visit a new place, but to genuinely immerse themselves, building relationships with hosts and fellow travelers, and contributing to the fabric of local cultures. It’s a catalyst for forging new friendships and cultivating unexpected professional associations, breaking down geographical barriers and fostering mutual understanding.

Imagine the possibilities if this concept evolved into a sophisticated platform for specialized professional residency or skill exchange. Consider educators, for instance. A system allowing them to temporarily reside in diverse geographical locations would enable them to experience firsthand the rich tapestry of global cultures, different educational systems, and unique aspects of daily life. These invaluable, real-world perspectives could then be brought directly into their classrooms, inspiring students with a broadened understanding of the world that textbooks alone cannot provide.

Furthermore, Airbnb etc could become an indispensable logistical partner for humanitarian efforts and the global deployment of expertise. Think of organizations like Doctors Without Borders or engineers providing disaster relief. By facilitating affordable and readily available temporary housing in crisis or underserved regions, Airbnb etc could significantly lower logistical hurdles. This would enable medical professionals, technical specialists, or other experts to deploy their critical skills more efficiently and sustainably, fostering vital knowledge transfer, direct assistance, and long-term capacity building in areas that need it most.

Ultimately, Airbnb etc possesses the unique capacity to transcend its commercial origins, evolving into a powerful catalyst for global understanding, robust community building, and the impactful exchange of human capital and expertise across continents.

AIRBNB in context continued

Airbnb is supposed to be part of a holistic inspirational incentives idea.   This inspirational incentive idea is meant to create holistic well motivated positive energy people all at once when you combine it with realistic, reconciliation, and forgiveness and exchange for the holistic inspiration, inclusion incentive of Airbnb.  It is also meant to be a continuous adaptive, striving idea to continually inspire people to be holistic, well motivated positive energy and kind striving.   One cannot be part of the Airbnb idea unless they go through reconciliation and forgiveness.   This brings  everyone towards unity and equity in our world As a similarity condition.   The idea of Airbnb may have come from earth house and home sharing idea that I had in the 1990s which was meant to be an eco geo idea.   If initially someone cannot be part of Airbnb. They can go through redeeming themselves by involving themselves in holistic well motivated positive energy activities.    This concept continues until they get enough points to get back into using Airbnb and all the other holistic inspirational incentives ideas associated with the earth unidiversity research explorers cycle.   This idea, alone, solves Crime violence, terrorism, mass shootings, and all sorts of other things like malfeasances.   Therefore, this holistic inspirational incentive adds a tremendous amount  positive value energy and benefits to our world way beyond any bottom line benefit..
